DeepSquare announces open-sourcing of Cluster Factory: an open-source kubernetes-based multi-cloud HPC infrastructure orchestrator

Cluster Factory is the newest addition to DeepSquare’s portfolio. Cluster Factory is a hybrid multi-cloud HPC (high performance computing) infrastructure orchestrator. This software stack automates the process of deploying, managing and monitoring compute-optimised clusters. Cluster Factory brings together best-in-class solutions from HPC, Cloud and DevOps to manage a cluster in combination with the GitOps practice. This  enables admins to manage their infrastructure in a scalable and reproducible way.

Cluster Factory, as a turnkey solution, provides a comprehensive HPC stack, including MPI, Slurm, DFS. This state-of-the-art solution allows organisations to deploy and scale the infrastructure layer in a cloud agnostic and unified way. DeepSquare Grid, a network of decentralised high performance computing clusters, is also being managed by Cluster Factory, enabling users to join the grid and capitalise on their spare compute resources. We believe in community driven projects, modularity and decentralisation. This is why ClusterFactory is open source, highly configurable and GitOps ready to make the deployment of production ready compute clusters fun and easy.
