The owner of All Pro Tae Kwon Do in Los Gatos, CA, has achieved the honor of becoming Grandmaster Andrew Fanelli

Once one has reached the 7th degree black belt and above, they are considered to be a Grandmaster of Tae Kwon Do.

Andrew Fanelli, the founder of All Pro Tae Kwon Do, has achieved the level of Grandmaster based on his record of excellence and endurance. He persevered through a 6-year waiting period, has held an esteemed studio for 25 years and counting has trained thousands of students in the art of Tae Kwon Do, was trained in the art himself for 40 years and has taught for the past 35 years.

Grandmaster Fanelli is the ONLY Grandmaster to have a 7th degree black belt in the art of Tae Kwon Do in the South Bay (Silicon Valley). The ceremony was witnessed by more than 300 people on Saturday, January 15th at 12 pm, and took place at the All Pro Tae Kwon Do studio.

About Grandmaster Andrew Fanelli

With over 40 years of expertise in the martial arts profession, there is no doubt that Grandmaster Fanelli is a great instructor for those wishing to develop discipline in the art.

Andrew was born and raised in Los Gatos, California, into a large Italian family. As one of seven children, he undoubtedly learned how to battle for a variety of things at a young age, though all in good fun. Grandmaster Fanelli’s father was a professional boxer, and it was through him that Andrew discovered Martial Arts. Andrew trained for almost five years with the owner of a downtown San Jose Garden City boxing club. Andrew became attracted to Tae Kwon Do, however, when his mother enrolled his younger brother in Tae Kwon Do classes in 1982. Surprisingly, Tae Kwon Do began to pique his interest far more than boxing did. In 1982, with the consent of his father, his mother enrolled him in Tae Kwon Do classes.

As Grandmaster Fanelli matured in age and ability, he was confronted with real-world choices that were not always straightforward. Andrew began working with his father, who had a history in the environmental field when he was just 13 years old. Andrew took his first employment outside of his father’s business in 1996 when he began his career in high-tech security and private investigation. However, it became evident quite quickly that this was not Andrew’s passion.

When Grandmaster Fanelli launched his Tae Kwon Do studio in April 1997, he operated as a lone proprietor, teaching all classes and managing the business independently. He worked 30-40 hours a week at the studio in addition to his full-time employment in high-tech security and private investigation. Grandmaster Fanelli continued this for three years until he decided in January 2000 to devote his entire attention to his business and passion: All Pro Tae Kwon Do.

Grandmaster Andrew Fanelli was admitted into the master’s Hall of Fame in Costa Mesa, California, in the summer of 2012. Grandmaster Andrew Fanelli was also named “2008 Los Gatos Businessman of the Year” by the “Town of Los Gatos.” Grandmaster Andrew Fanelli was featured on the front cover of the “Tae Kwon Do Times Magazine” in September 2009.

The Los Gatos Martial Arts, Family, and Fitness Studio is an award-winning facility that offers a comprehensive spectrum of Martial Arts training.
