Chennai Comic Con is set to return in January for its fourth edition

Chennai Comic Con is set to kick off the new year with a celebration of fandom returning for its fourth edition on January 16 and 17 in 2027 at the Chennai Trade Centre in Nandambakkam. The announcement comes a week after the Vizag Comic took place on October 10 and 11.
A subsidiary of NODWIN Gaming, Comic Con India will bring together fans, creators and pop-culture communities from Chennai and beyond for a two-day celebration of comics, anime, gaming, cosplay and all things fandom under one roof.
The Chennai edition aims to bring together the city’s anime, comics, gaming and cosplay communities for a weekend filled with memorable experiences.
Fans can look forward to their favourite characters coming to life, with opportunities to meet international guests, discover new stories, interact with creators, enjoy live music and stand-up comedy, and experience immersive fan zones and gaming arenas. The event will also offer Chennai’s growing fandom community a space to discover new interests, express their passion and connect with fellow enthusiasts who share their love for pop culture.
With every edition, Chennai’s Comic Con community continues to grow, bringing together more fans and further establishing the city as a vibrant and fast-growing destination for pop culture and fandom.
Last year, Chennai Comic Con drew over 45,000 fans for a celebration of pop culture, featuring internationally acclaimed comic book writer Ron Marz, known for his work on Green Lantern, Silver Surfer, Witchblade and the DC vs. Marvel crossover series.
Building on this strong response, the third edition will bring Chennai’s fandom community together once again, for another weekend celebrating all things pop culture.
