Building on the success of its first edition, The Neighbourhood Festival (TNF) returns for its second edition from September 30 to October 4, expanding across Bandra, Khar and Santacruz with over 20 headlining acts and over 100 experiences spanning music, comedy, art, food, conversations and more.
The festival celebrates this very idea through a hyperlocal, multi-venue format that brings art, culture, performances, conversations and community experiences into the streets. Festival-goers can move between independent venues and discover performances, conversations, workshops, food, art and social experiences across a walkable festival landscape.
Beyond music, The Neighbourhood Festival will bring the city to life through a flea market with over 40 stalls across four venues in Bandra, Khar and Santacruz, alongside two special exhibitions: A Neighbourhood: Then & Now at 3 Art House and Karkis of Kumaon at Chyndy in Bandra.
Theme for 2026
This year, TNF explores the theme ‘The Neighbourhood Archive’, uncovering lesser-known histories of Bandra and Khar through archival photographs, historical records and oral histories. The initiative seeks to create a living archive of the neighbourhood, bringing together stories and memories from longtime residents, artists, shopkeepers, restaurateurs and other community members to document how the area has evolved over time.
The festival’s headlining line-up spans music, performance and comedy, bringing together Gini, Anoushka Maskey, Sahil Shah, Gurbax and Suggahunny across its music programming.
It will also see the likes of Rohan Joshi, Azeem Banatwalla, Abish Mathew, Prashasti Singh, Karunesh Talwar, Urooj Ashfaq, Chaitanya Tamhane and Yahya Bootwala leading its comedy and performance acts. Renowned actor, Imran Khan will also join the festival as a keynote speaker.
Lineup of speakers
The festival will bring together voices from film, literature, food, comedy and contemporary culture through a series of candid conversations. The programming will include directors’ and literature panels, a conversation with women navigating ambition, money, relationships, risk and career, and a food-focused discussion with Mumbai chefs including Gresham Fernandes, Lakhan Jethani, Anand Morwani and Niyati Rao on the stories, memories and cultures behind what we eat. Another conversation will explore how comedy helps us process an increasingly bizarre news cycle, while A Niche with Anish Gawande will be a relaxed, unfiltered conversation on identity, ambition, culture, politics and his journey. Names in conversation across the wider programming include Varun Grover, Kubbra Sait and Sheeba Chaddha, among others.
The festival will take place across venues including 3 Art House, Foot Locker, Gharaonda, Kold Karobar, Khar Comedy Club/Loft52, Foodsquare, The Den, and Laguna. The festival is an initiative by 3 Art House, a space for emerging artists and creators to experiment, showcase and connect through performances, exhibitions, workshops and events.
