Follow these three tips by Rujuta Diwekar to get rid of leg pain in the night

Many of us now spend more time in the office than we spend in our homes, and even if we do, sitting at the desk, along with sedentry lifestyles is very common today adding to our woes of unnecessary aches and pains, apart from sicknesses.
Dwelling on this very aspect of our lives, Indian celebrity nutritionist Rujuta Diwekar who is known to address such issues in daily life through her social media, shared, “Menopause and perimenopause can bring a barrage of things but leg pain in the night is more common than you think. Sedentary lifestyle, stress, poor digestion, only add to the mess but here are 3 easy strategies that help. Please feel free to try them on your bed.”
She adds, “Many people don’t get sleep at night not because of love, but because of pain in their legs. It feels like your legs wait for the night to wait for you to sleep, and only then the legs ache. Sometimes the calf aches, sometimes the thigh aches.”
Coming to the aid of many suffering from this, but are probably taking it for granted, she shares the following three tips:
Shatapavali
Diwekar says taking a slow relaxing walk after dinner can help. “A slow relaxing walk after dinner, one where you can hum a song, and not do brisk walking where you are not able to complete a sentence, but one that is a light stroll so that it improves your digestion, and oxygen and blood supply goes to the feet, and the gas that has accumulated is released,” she explains.
Vajrasana
The celebrity nutritionist also recomments vajrasana. She explains, “Do vajrasana with blankets, and if you are not able to do it on the floor, then you can do it on the bed, and if you are not able to use blankets, do it with bolsters. Vajrasana also improves digestion.”
Feet on bolster
Lastly, Diwekar also recommends the practice of feet on the bolster. She shares, “You can also lie face down on your stomach and balance your feet on a bolster, while letting your hip (pelvic floor) should not be lifted, but your thighs and shin should come up, while taking your hips to your calfs and your calfs to your ankle and count till 10, while the front part of your thigh faces upwards towards the ceiling.”
The popular Indian nutritionist says once you start practicing these three habits, you will be rid of pain in your legs, and you will get a good and peaceful sleep, and feel like you haven’t slept like this in a while, when you wake up the next morning but not without reminding people that it is important to practic this every day.
